WE ARE NOTHING WITHOUT EACH OTHER

A bus full of passengers was traveling while suddenly the weather changed and there was a huge downpour and lightening all around.

They could see that the lightening would appear to come towards the bus and then go elsewhere. After 2 or 3 horrible instances of being saved from lightening, the driver stopped the bus about fifty feet away from a tree and said -"We have somebody in the bus whose death is a certainty today." Because of that person everybody else will also get killed today.

Now listen carefully what I am saying, I want each person to come out of bus one by one and touch the tree trunk and come back. Whom so ever death is certain will get caught up by the lightening and will die & everybody else will be saved".

They had to force the 1st person to go and touch the tree and come back. He reluctantly got down from the bus and went and touched the tree. His heart leaped with joy when nothing happened and he was still alive. This continued for rest of the passengers who were all relieved when they touched the tree and nothing happened.

When the last passenger's turn came, everybody looked at him with accusing eyes. That passenger was very afraid and reluctant since he was the only one left. Everybody forced him to get down and go and touch the tree. With a 100% fear of death in mind, the last passenger walked to the tree and touched it.

There was a huge sound of thunder and the lightening came down and hit the bus - yes the lightening hit the bus, and killed each and every passenger inside the bus.

It was because of the presence of this last passenger that, earlier, the entire bus was safe and the lightening could not strike the bus!

LESSON from this..?

At times, we try to take credit for our present achievements, but this could also be because of a person right next to us.

Look around you - Probably someone is there around you, in the form of Your Parents, Your Spouse, Your Children, Your Siblings, Your friends, Your Colleagues, etc, who are saving you from harm..!

Think About it, You will surely find that Person..!!

He had been a key contributor to the growth of the Nigerian Economy through active participation in the formulation of good economic policies for Governments at all level. As a member of the advisory council of the National Industrial Revolution Plan (NIRP), Alh (Dr) Umaru Kwairanga had brought a lot of suggestions that could move our economy if effectively implemented. Even as of recent in his interview with THIS DAY Newspaper, the great economic elite has advised government to review tax in favour of industrialization for swift economic growth and silky industrial development that will guarantee creation of Job opportunities for our teeming youths who are the pillar of our economy.
Sequel to the emergence of the people's General (Muhammadu Buhari) as the President-elect of our dear country, people from all angles started voicing their opinions on who and who should represent them in the incoming cabinet, and fortunately this government will seemingly pursue people's mandate and appoint credible leaders whose sanity of integrity is widely acceptable to the generality of the populace. By virtue of Alh (Dr) Umaru Kwairanga's excellence in leadership and clean record, people started hoping that he will Insha Allah be an important part of the incoming administration so that the entire Nigerian communities will benefit from his selfless services to humanity. We pray that if his inclusion will be of great benefit to Nigerians may Allah (SWT) actualize our collective hope and answer our prayers. May Allah continue to elevate our hero in the best of ways. Amin!

THE PREGNANT DEER

In a forest, a pregnant deer is about to give birth. 

She finds a remote grass field near a strong-flowing river.
This seems a safe place. 
Suddenly labour pains begin.

At the same moment, dark clouds gather around above & lightning starts a forest fire.
She looks to her left & sees a hunter with his bow extended pointing at her.
To her right, she spots a hungry lion approaching her.

What can the pregnant deer do?
She is in labour!

What will happen?
Will the deer survive?
Will she give birth to a fawn?
Will the fawn survive?
Or will everything be burnt by the forest fire?
Will she perish to the hunters' arrow?
Will she die a horrible death at the hands of the hungry lion approaching her?

She is constrained by the fire on the one side & the flowing river on the other & boxed in by her natural predators.

What does she do?
She focuses on giving birth to a new life.

The sequence of events that follows are:

- Lightning strikes & blinds the hunter.
- He releases the arrow which zips past the deer & strikes the hungry lion.
- It starts to rain heavily, & the forest fire is slowly doused by the rain.
- The deer gives birth to a healthy fawn.

In our life too, there are moments of choice when we are confronted on αll sides with negative thoughts and possibilities.

Some thoughts are so powerful that they overcome us & overwhelm us.

Maybe we can learn from the deer.
The priority of the deer, in that given moment, was simply to give birth to a baby.

The rest was not in her hands & any action or reaction that changed her focus would have likely resulted in death or disaster.

Ask yourself,
Where is your focus?
Where is your faith and hope?

In the midst of any storm, do keep faith on creator always. He will never ever dissapoint you. NEVER.

Remember, He neither slumber nor sleep !! Strong woman knows how to keep her life in order. Even with tears in her eyes, she still manages to say 'I'm Ok' with a smile. Put a smile on ur face and that of a friend. Allah is in control and he knows best.

SELF - APPRAISAL

A little boy went into a drug store, reached for a soda carton and pulled it over to the telephone. He climbed onto the carton so that he could reach the buttons on the phone and proceeded to punch in seven digits (phone numbers).

The Store owner observed and listened to the conversation:

Boy: "Lady, Can you give me the job of cutting your lawn?"

Woman (at the other end of the phone line): "I already have someone to cut my lawn."

Boy: "Lady, I will cut your lawn for half the price of the person who cuts your lawn now."

Woman: "I'm very satisfied with the person who is presently cutting my lawn."

Boy (with more perseverance): "Lady, I'll even sweep your curb and your sidewalk, so on Sunday you will have the prettiest lawn in all of Palm beach, Florida."

Woman: "No, thank you."

With a smile on his face, the little boy replaced the phone receiver. The Store owner, who was listening to all this, walked over to the boy.

Store owner: "Son... I like your attitude; I like that positive spirit and would like to offer you a job."

Boy: "No thanks."

Store owner: "But you were really pleading for one."

Boy: "No Sir, I was just checking my performance at the job I already have. I am the one who is working for that lady, I was talking to!"

This is what we call "Self-Appraisal (Muhasebe)", which is highly recommended, because it encourages you to be proud of your accomplishments and candid about your weaknesses.

Have you checked the performance of your job, whatever it is? Do you strive to make it perfect? This is what we call "Self Appraisal". Even the word 'IMPOSSIBLE' says 'I M POSSIBLE'.

Noble Qur'an: "And you see the mountains, which you suppose to be stationery, while they drift like passing clouds. It is the handiwork of Allah, Who has made everything PERFECT." (An-Naml 27:88)

Holy Prophet Mohammad (saw) said, "May Allah bless the person who performs a job with precision and perfects it". Allah is Perfect and likes those who strive to make things perfect.

Dear Brothers and Sisters, we must strive for excellence in everything we do, in everything we are, because we are the best Nation created for Mankind.
